Who I Am

My name is Celestine and I am an illustration artist specialised in portraiture based in Central NJ/Brooklyn. I have been painting in acrylics lately, as this is a medium that to me represents Ease of Access, Vibrancy, and Texture

I also raise guide dog puppies for The Seeing Eye™, the premiere guide dog school in the United States. I’ve successfully fallen in love with every single puppy I’ve met and trained, and said goodbye many times when they go off to their careers. It can be heartbreaking, but these dogs go on to save lives and grant visually impaired folks autonomy every day.

I’m thankful to spend my days surrounded by animal companions, and to witness so many wonderful pairings. The relationships built between dogs and humans continues to astound me.

These paintings are my attempt to give back some of that love to the dogs, their humans, and communities.
